The TikToker with the most followers in the whole entire world, Khaby Lame, recently just acquired Italian citizenship on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old was born in Senegal, relocated to Italy as a youngster, and grew up in a seedy neighbourhood in Chivasso, a town outside of Turin.

A solemn ceremony for a playful personality.

Khaby Lame, a TikTok Mega star and Senegalese native, became an Italian citizen on Wednesday

The person who immigrated to Italy as a child vowed to uphold the Italian Republic, the Constitution, and all applicable laws.

Lame expressed his pride, “I am really proud.” He “already felt Italian” after more than 15 years in the Alpine country because his Senegalese parents immigrated there when he was a young child.

Little has changed, he admitted, “not that I didn’t feel Italian before signing.

Lame was granted a new citizenship in the city hall of Chivasso. He was raised in a deprived neighbourhood of the city outside of Turin. He lost his job after Covid’s success and moved to social media, where he eventually rose to fame.

“Since I’ve always lived in slums, it’s extremely different from now, but even though we had nothing there, we were content and glad and played in the courtyard anyhow. Anyway, it’s a brand-new reality that I still have to get accustomed to, but I’m adjusting to it gradually.”

Lame had to wait until he was an adult before becoming a citizen, like many children of immigrants in Italy.

It is a fresh chapter in the prominent figure’s life. Lame guy collaborates with brands and secures endorsement and sponsorship deals thanks to his 148.5 million TikTok subscribers.
