The wife of late Nigerian Head of State, Major General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi has passed on at the age of 97.
Chief Mrs Victoria reportedly died peacefully on Monday morning. She never remarried after her husband’s death.
Her husband Aguiyi-Ironsi was the first Military Head of State in Nigeria.
He was born in Umuahia and ruled as Supreme commander of Nigeria’s military government for six months before he was assassinated in a counter coup on July 29, 1966.
