The deputy national secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Victor Giadom has resumed office as the party’s acting national chairman following Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s suspension.
According to reports, Giadom said he has cancelled the governorship screening exercise which disqualified Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo.
He has also asked the aspirants to reappear for a new screening.
Obaseki on Tuesday resigned his membership of the ruling APC.
In a tweet on Tuesday, he said, I have officially resigned my membership of the All Progressives Congress after meeting with the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.
“We shall continue the battle to protect the interest of Edo people and sustain good governance in the state,” he said.
