Usyk did not defeat Tyson Fury – Reno Omokri

Social media influencer Reno Omokri has stated that Tyson Fury could have easily defeated Oleksandr Usyk in their recently held boxing match.

Omokri, in a statement on X on Sunday, mentioned that Fury’s ego made him lose the match.

“Fury was defeated by his ego. He refused to deflate it,” Omokri stated.

Stating that “pride goes before a fall,” Omokri noted that the former heavyweight “wasted too much energy in the first round, mocking” the Ukrainian.

The Ukrainian emerged as the first-ever four-belt undisputed heavyweight champion in boxing history, defeating Tyson Fury via split decision, Chronicle NG reports.

Briton Fury had a strong start on a monumental stage on a night that would define his legacy, but after a Usyk onslaught in round nine, he was given a standing 10 count and saved by the bell.

Reacting to his loss, Omokri said, “Tyson Fury could have won, hands down if he was more humble. He was overconfident.

“He wasted too much energy in the first round, mocking Usyk and flagellating himself. I am not sure it was Usyk who defeated Fury.

“Fury was defeated by his ego. He refused to deflate it. Imagine looking down at Usyk and telling him he would “school” him.

“Pride goes before a fall. Knowledge will make you rise. Humility will keep you grounded. I hope he has learned his lesson.”
