The US President-elect, Donald trump has gone hard on Beijing over the devaluation of its currency which makes it hard for US companies to compete favorably in chinese market.
Trump in his tweet stated that “Did China ask us if it was OK to devalue their currency (making it hard for our companies to compete), heavily tax our products going into their country (the U.S. doesn’t tax them) or to build a massive military complex in the middle of the South China Sea? I don’t think so!”
There was a diplomatic protest from China on Saturday, over the unusual phone call from the Taiwan. China stated that US needs to respect its policy of ‘One China’.
