Toni Kan explains a scene from The Carnivorous City to the rapturous audience

The book is The Carnivorous City, the venue is Quintessence at Ikoyi, Lagos and and the author is Toni Kan.

At a well-attended booking reading on 9 September Toni Kan’s storytelling prowess went from writing to reading.

As he held his audience spell bound, he made them yearn for more from his latest published book, The Carnivorous City.

The crime thriller is set in Lagos and it tells the story of Sabato- a Lagos Big Boy who goes missing without a trace.

Toni Kan captures Lagos in a way that it is easy for you to build a mental picture of the state and the living conditions of Nigeria’s commercial nerve center.

No novel does Lagos justice like The Carnivorous City.

Here’s an insight into the policing system, the lives of Lagosians and perhaps where to go, places to watch out for and places that are no-no.

Away from The Carnivorous City, Toni Kan read from his forthcoming book ‘Taxi Driver’.

It was exclusive to the audience at Quintessence.

But like they say pictures perhaps videos tell a thousand words.

    Enjoy!
