In a heated exchange following the women’s 100-meter hurdle heats at the World Athletics Championship in Budapest, Hungary, Nigerian track star Tobi Amusan found herself at odds with a persistent journalist.

The reporter continuously pressed Amusan to address the doping charges that have been levied against her, causing the athlete to lose her composure.

In a recent turn of events, Amusan has been exonerated of any doping violations, as the provisional suspension that had been placed upon her has now been lifted just in time for the upcoming championship.

The World record holder, on Tuesday, put the intrigues behind her as she delivered a remarkable performance, clocking an impressive time of 12.49 seconds in Heat 5, leaving her challengers trailing behind.

In a post-race press conference, Amusan took a moment to express her gratitude towards her loyal fanbase, acknowledging their unwavering support throughout her journey.

During the intense interview session, a curious journalist posed a thought-provoking question to Tobi, seeking clarification on the fans’ burning inquiry regarding the circumstances that precipitated the charge. Could you provide further clarification regarding the underlying reasons for that decision?

In response to the question, Amusan, displaying clear unease, retorted, “I’m talking about my fans, and you’re talking about charges. What charges?”

“Mr. Cathal, I am not going to answer your question. You’ve asked the same question five times now, and I am not answering it. Ridiculous!”

“You run fast, they want to talk about my shoes; you don’t run fast, they want to talk about what’s going on. Come on, cut me that slack,” she said.
