President Bola Tinubu will preside over the administration’s second Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, barring any last-minute changes.
Recall that on May 29, President Tinubu succeeded Muhammadu Buhari, and on August 21, the new Ministers were sworn in at the State House Conference Hall in Abuja.
The President, the Vice President, who presides over council meetings in the President’s absence, and the Ministers make up the FEC, the government’s decision-making body.
The Chief of Staff to the President, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), the Head of the Federation’s Civil Service, the National Security Adviser (NSA), and any other pertinent government officials who may be invited to present papers are among the other officials who attend cabinet meetings.
On August 28, at 12 p.m., the inaugural FEC took place at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The FEC meeting used to be held on Wednesdays, but it looks like the President is moving the Wednesday cabinet meeting to Monday.
