President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his commitment to doing what is right for Nigeria, despite growing criticism over his administration’s policies.

Speaking in Abuja on Tuesday at the launch of an autobiography by former Jigawa State governor Sule Lamido, Tinubu said he remains focused on national progress.

The book, titled Being True To Myself, was unveiled at the NAF Conference Centre in Nigeria’s capital.

Tinubu, who was represented by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, emphasized that while Nigerians are free to critique his government, criticism should be objective.

“The president welcomes constructive criticism at all times in the spirit of freedom of speech and democratic engagement, but he will also never allow himself to be distracted from doing what is right for Nigeria,” Idris said.

He congratulated Lamido on the launch and praised the book as a valuable contribution to Nigeria’s political history and democratic conversation.
