President Bola Tinubu has felicitated Prof. Babagana Zulum, the Borno State governor, as he marks his 54th birthday on August 25, 2023.
In a statement issued on Thursday by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, the president expressed his well wishes to the beloved political leader’s family, friends, and acquaintances, whose vision and selfless work he said continued to inspire.
Tinubu stated that the Borno State governor had redefined leadership in Nigeria by fully committing to the welfare and security of his state above all other considerations, driving a message of renewed hope in both the young and the old, even as he rebuilds institutions and infrastructure torn apart by years of insurgency.
Tinubu also lauded the governor’s courageous zeal in bringing about comprehensive change, which dates back to his time as an educator, where he served as Deputy Dean and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Maiduguri, Rector of Ramat Polytechnic, and later, Commissioner of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, and Resettlement under former Borno State governor Kashim Shettima, who is now the nation’s vice president.
The President wished Zulum many more years of strength, courage, and wisdom.
