President Bola Tinubu has commended Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for his leadership, vision, and concentration, calling him a new hope for the nation’s progress.

During his first official visit to the state, the president praised the enormous infrastructural developments he saw.

“You will leave Adamawa State far better than the way you met it. You shocked me with what I saw and commissioned today.

“The schools you build are weapons for fighting poverty and insecurity and boosting the economy of the country; you deserve to be celebrated by your people and Nigerians.

“When I entered the new governor’s office, I felt like not coming out, because it is comfortably furnished with beautiful design, and you are a leader with great vision and focus,” Tinubu said.

He called on Nigerians to work together for progress, emphasizing that the nation is everyone’s and must be developed for coming generations.

Tinubu reassured the populace that his government is still dedicated to putting an end to insecurity and building a country that Nigerians can be proud to call their own.

He built the groundwork for the new NYSC permanent orientation camp, opened the new Government House office complex, and put the Model School along Airport Road and the eight-lane flyover along Galadima Aminu Road into service while he was there.

Fintiri said in his welcoming speech that he was thrilled to have the president visit and that it inspired him to do more for the people.

“We appreciate wholeheartedly the privilege of having you here today to commission a few of our projects, which include the Yola model school, which is one of the 21 model schools built across the 21 local governments of Adamawa state,” he said.

“This project costs ₦24.8 billion; the eight-lane carriage-expanded Galadima Aminu Way with an overhead bridge, underpass, and a roundabout, and the dualized Gimba Road, which are all reinforced with concrete stormwater drains on both sides, equally cost ₦15.6 billion.”

Fintiri praised his courageous leadership, telling the president, “Your Excellency, however expensive a garment is, it only makes sense when it is shredded with scissors and tailored to fit the body. Mr. President, you are Nigeria’s best tailor. Continue to have the courage to make the toughest decision for the good of the country. Do not waver. Do not falter.

“Beyond politics, governance is about the people and service to the fatherland. We are with you. Our people are with you. Adamawa State is with you all the way, all the time.”

Tinubu was accompanied by governors, former governors, ministers, senators, the National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and other top government
