President Bola Tinubu will be in Kaduna on Friday for a mix of celebration and solemn reflection.
According to Bayo Onanuga, his special adviser on information and strategy, Tinubu is scheduled to attend the wedding of Nasirudeen Yari, son of Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, who represents Zamfara West.The groom will tie the knot with Safiyya Shehu Idris in a ceremony expected to draw political heavyweights and dignitaries.
Beyond the festivities, the president will also make a condolence visit to Aisha Buhari, widow of the late former president Muhammadu Buhari, at her Kaduna residence.
This marks Tinubu’s first personal visit to the family since Buhari’s passing.
The president is expected to return to Abuja later on Friday after concluding both engagements.
