President Bola Tinubu wishes former President Muhammadu Buhari, an emblem of truth, justice, and patriotism, a happy 81st birthday.

His wishes were detailed in a statement signed on Saturday by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity.

Tinubu lauds the former president’s outstanding leadership qualities and achievements, commemorating his meritorious service to the nation as Head of State and President at various periods.

Tinubu fondly remembers the former president’s aggressive push to modernize Nigeria’s defense architecture while working towards import substitution with the empowerment of millions of Nigerian farmers in his progressive initiative to enhance food security in the country.

Former President Buhari, according to the President, is the best example of sacrifice, devotion, patriotism, and fidelity to the national cause.

“President Buhari is from the rarest phylum of virtuous servant-leaders. He has devoted his life to the service of the nation, even earning himself detention for his patriotism and service to our fatherland.

”The emergence of leaders like my good friend, Buhari, happens only by divine orchestration. He is a man of absolute and undiluted integrity. His yea is yea, and his nay is nay,” the president says.

Furthermore, Tinubu thanked former President Buhari for his friendship and vote of confidence in the administration, which he has demonstrated via his steadfast support.

While wishing the older statesman longevity and strength, President Tinubu assures him that the former president’s long-held dream of a successful, peaceful, and progressive Nigeria will not be destroyed.
