Reality TV star and entrepreneur Natacha Akide, better known as Tacha, has completed her 24-hour Guinness World Record attempt for the most makeovers done in a single day.

The media celebrity completed the marathon session around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture & History in Lagos, where she began the challenge on Saturday.

It was gathered that Tacha encountered minor technical difficulties, including a brief power loss in the early hours of the effort.

Despite the setback, she persisted, working quickly and completing makeovers on 145 models, both male and female.

The models, which include influencer Mitchy and former Big Brother Naija housemates Venita Akpofure, Wanni, and Handi, represented diverse body types and skin tones, showcasing Tacha’s versatility and speed under pressure.

Each model’s metamorphosis was chronicled through professional headshots and runway shows as part of the Tacha Beauty Festival, which served as the backdrop for the record bid.

The event attracted a host of celebrities, influencers, and public figures who came to show support. Among those in attendance were Alex Unusual, Toke Makinwa, Dabota Lawson, Soma Anyama, Slimcase, Ice Prince, Egungun of Lagos, and Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Idris Aregbe.

Tacha, who rose to prominence after appearing on Big Brother Naija Season 4, is now awaiting formal certification from Guinness World Records, which will validate the effort before naming her as the official record holder.

She previously stated that her record-breaking ambition was motivated by a desire to promote Nigerian women’s inventiveness, consistency, and strength in the global beauty market.
