    Want to spend the weekend watching your favorite local soap operas? Here are some of our favorite shows to watch:

    The Rishantes, the conflict between The Rishantes threatens to tear them apart until they realize that they are the targets of a bigger enemy and he is closing in on them. What remains to be seen is if they have enough to conquer their enemies. This series will air weekdays at 9pm on AM Urban (DStv channel 153 & GOtv channel 6) to customers on DStv Compact and the new GOtv package, GOtv Supa.

    Also showing is Movement Japa, which follows three friends who are desperate to leave the country for the west and set out as ship stowaways but end up on the wrong ship, barreling their lives down a dark and violent tunnel where love and redemption awaits at the end…for those with the fortitude to make it there. This series will air Mondays at 9pm on AM Showcase (DStv channel 151) to customers on DStv Compact Plus.

    Venge, this series tells a scandalous story of secrets, lies, and betrayals. Viewers will get to go on a journey with Bibi as she unravels several conspiracies trailed by murder and fear on her quest for justice and revenge. This will air weeknights at 8:30pm on AM Showcase (DStv Channel 151) to customers on DStv Compact Plus.

    • MultiChoice Nigeria unveils Biggie Goals promo on DStv, GOtv decoders

    Dilema, this follows the lives of two estranged lovers – Kaineto and Kanan. After years of separation, they find their way back to each other and have to deal with a history they would both rather forget. Love leads them back together, but it may not be enough to conquer all the challenges they will have to face. DStv Premium viewers can tune in weeknights at 8pm on AM Showcase (DStv channel 151) to customers on DStv Compact Plus.

    Liverpool and Atletico Madrid will meet for a potential thriller in the UEFA Champions’ League group stage set for Anfield. This will air on Wednesday, 3 November at 9pm on SuperSport Premier League (DStv channel 203) to customers on DStv Compact.

    Catch some action from the UEFA Europa League. The early matches on Thursday, 4 November feature Scottish champions ‘Rangers’ heading to Denmark to face ‘Brondby’ in a key Group A clash at 6:45pm on SuperSport Variety 3 (DStv channel 208) and SuperSport Select 1 (GOtv channel 33) to customers on DStv Confam and GOtv Max.

    DStv customers can look forward to a classic Premier League rivalry, as Manchester United host Manchester City at Old Trafford on Saturday, 6 November at 1:30pm on SuperSport Premier League (DStv channel 203) to customers on DStv Compact.

    Would you rather follow all the twists, drama, suspense and action that comes with telenovelas? Here is a rundown of the best telenovelas to watch this week:

    The Frontliners, showing on Wednesday, 3 November at 8pm on StarLife (DStv channel 167 & GOtv channel 23) to customers on DStv Confam and GOtv Max. ‘The Frontliners’ follows the lives of Dr. Ishani Arora and Dr. Siddhant ‘Sid’ Mathur; complete opposites who struggle to deal with their attraction to one another.

    Twist of Fate, showing daily at 8pm on ZeeWorld (DStv channel 166 & GOtv channel 25) to customers on DStv Yanga and GOtv Jolli. This series follows the life of a Punjabi matriarch Sarla Arora who runs a marriage hall and lives with the hope of seeing her two daughters, Pragya and Bulbul, happily married someday. The show takes us through the lives of the 2 sisters, their hopes, dreams and aspirations. Simultaneously runs the story of Abhi who is Rockstar with a cult following of his own.

    Want to binge watch foreign movies, well DStv and GOtv have got some action packed and comedy movies to keep customers entertained this weekend.

    Catch this riveting film based on true events, Mine 9. Two miles into the earth, nine Appalachian miners struggle to survive after a methane explosion leaves them with one hour of oxygen. This will air on Saturday, 6 November at 10:15pm on M-Net Movies 4 (DStv channel 108 & GOtv channel 3) to customers on DStv Yanga and GOtv Max.

    Watch Judy, which sees Rowan Atkinson reprises his role as the ditzy but oddly effective Agent Johnny English, who gears up to save Britain from a cyber-attacker in this instalment of the ridiculous spy-comedy. This will air on Sunday, 7 November at 6:30pm on M-Net Movies 1 (DStv channel 105) to customers on DStv Premium.

    Need movies to keep the kids educated and entertained or just a cartoon fan, well, here is a list of what to watch this week.

    Science Max, showing on Wednesday, 3 November at 5:55pm on Da Vinci (DStv channel 318 & GOtv channel 66) to customers on DStv Confam and GOtv Jolli. ‘Science Max’ is an educational show that focuses on scientific concepts that will interest kids. Manic, frantic, and lots of fun, this show will educate and entertain in equal measure.

    PJ Masks, airs on Thursday, 4 November at 11am on Disney Junior (DStv channel 309 & GOtv channel 60) to customers on DStv Yanga and GOtv Jolli. During the day, Amaya, Connor and Greg lead totally normal lives, but they transform into superheroes during the night and use their powers to fight villains and solve mysteries.
