Real Madrid have completed the signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga on a season-long loan from Chelsea, both clubs announced on Monday.
His contract with the La Liga giants runs until 30 June 2024.
Kepa will provide cover for the injured number 1, Thibaut Courtois who also joined Madrid from Chelsea.
The Spain international will be presented as a new Real Madrid player on Tuesday 15 August, at 1.30pm at Real Madrid City. He will speak to the media afterwards, the Real Madrid website said.
Kepa Arrizabalaga enjoyed five seasons of ups and downs at the Stamford Bridge after signing a seven-year deal in 2018.
He won the Champions League, Club World Cup, European Super Cup and Europa League with Chelsea.
He was also named the best Premier League keeper for the 2022/23 season.
Kepa Arrizabalaga also won the 2023 Nations League with Spain as well as the Under-19s European Championship with Spain in 2012.
