Manchester City star Matheus Nunes has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of stealing a cell phone from a nightclub in Madrid.
The 26-year-old Portuguese international was allegedly detained early on September 8 at La Riviera, a popular club, and transferred to a nearby police station for questioning, according to Daily Mail.
Nunes was arrested about 5:30 a.m. after being accused of seizing a phone from a 58-year-old man who had attempted to picture him in the nightclub’s lavatory without his permission, according to Spanish daily El Mundo.
Born in Brazil, Nunes is claimed to have seized the phone in a fit of rage and refused to return it.
El Mundo said that police apprehended him after being called to the scene and discovering the phone in his hands.
