The 2023/24 Premier League season has produced a plethora of excellent players, and the PFA Premier League Team of the Year recognises the best of the best.
This year’s roster combines defensive strength, midfield inventiveness, and offensive prowess.
This was revealed in a series of posts on Tuesday by the Professional Footballers Association X account, #PFA.
Five Arsenal players, the Manchester City quartet, the Aston Villa goal machine, and the Liverpool captain made the cut for the previous season.
Here is the 2023/2024 PFA Premier League Team of the Year:
David Raya (Arsenal), Kyle Walker (Man City), William Saliba (Man City), Gabriel (Arsenal), Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool), Rodri (Man City), Declan Rice (Arsenal), Martin Odegaard (Arsenal), Phil Foden (Man City), Erling Haaland (Man City), and Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa).
Manchester City’s Phil Foden was named as the PFA Players’ Player of the Year.
The prestigious award follows on the back of a 2023/24 campaign that was widely acknowledged as the finest season yet in the Academy graduate’s glittering career.
The England attacking midfielder was one of Pep Guardiola’s key components in helping drive his side to what was a historic fourth consecutive Premier League—the first time any English men’s team has achieved such a feat.
Foden had a career-high 19 goals and eight assists in 35 Premier League matches, the greatest return of his senior career.
Also, Cole Palmer has been named PFA Young Player of the Year.
The 22-year-old collected the award from Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola at the ceremony held in Manchester on Tuesday.
The England forward, who left Manchester City for Chelsea last summer, scored 22 goals and registered 11 assists during his debut season at Stamford Bridge.
