Nigerian and Bayer 04 Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface survived a fatal car crash after scoring the winning goal against Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.
Boniface, who posted a video clip, images of him being hospitalized, and the crash scene in his social media page on Sunday, wrote, “Na so una for hear say my enemy don die.” Thank you, Lord”.
The footballer had been involved in an auto accident in his car abroad, which left much of the luxury car badly battered and damaged.
He sustained some injuries and has since been to the hospital for treatment and examination.
The Nigerian striker added, “God is the greatest.”
Reacting to the incident, fans started pouring in messages on social media.
Tomisin Whyte posted, “Victor Boniface went from scoring the winning goal for Leverkusen yesterday to surviving a car accident today.” He added, “We thank God for his life.
Cheeryn said, “From the highs of the game to the lows of life’s dangers, Boniface stays winning. Thank God for his protection.”
Crown Prince wrote, “No Nigerian will scroll down without thanking God on behalf of Victor Boniface as he escaped an accident Yesternight. God we are grateful.”
“We give God the glory. You’re a lucky man. Many drivers are unlucky to survive this accident,” Olu reacted.
