Cameroonian boxer Francis Ngannou has described Antony Joshua as the best boxer in the world.
Speaking in a press briefing after their boxing match, Ngannou noted that Joshua was a better fighter than Tyson Fury.
According to the former UFC fighter, Joshua did what Fury couldn’t do.
The heavyweight champion knocked Francis Ngannou out in the second round of their bout in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to rekindle talks of a fight against Tyson Fury.
Joshua worked Ngannou through the first round before landing a punch that sent him down to send the fans into a frenzy.
Responding to journalists after the bout, Ngannou said, “He was quite special because he stopped me.
“He did what Tyson Fury couldn’t do. It wasn’t my day. He was just way better than me today.”
Speaking further, Ngannou said he did not feel the punch that knocked him out.
“I did not feel the punch. I think that’s what the knockout is all about.”
