Nigerian sensation Tobi Amusan won the tough women’s 100m hurdles in the Silesia Diamond League in Chorzow, Poland, with a powerful finish.
The meeting record was equaled by the world record holder (12.12 seconds), who finished ahead of the stacked field in 12.34 seconds.
Amusan finished narrowly ahead of her competitors for next month’s Budapest World Athletics Championships, with Keni Harrison of the United States of America second in 12.35s and Nia Ali, another American, third in 12.38s.
Celebrating her win on her Facebook page, Amusan wrote, “One race at a time, my coach has always told me that, and I’m happy to have finished here with another season’s best and the meeting record,” she said.
“All Glory to God and a big shout out (to) my coach and my entire team as well as my ever-supportive fans” she added.
