Nigerian winger Moses Simon has won the Man of the Match award in the Super Eagles clash against Angola.
The FC Nantes winger embarked on an incredible run before assisting Ademola Lookman to score the game-winning goal against Angola in the first half of the quarter-finals on Saturday.
The winger has already provided two assists in the competition.
He concluded a fantastic performance by giving his everything in both attack and defence as the Super Eagles defeated Angola’s Palancas Negras to advance to the AFCON semi-finals.
The 29-year-old played the entire game.
This is his second CAF Man of the Match award in five games with the Eagles in the competition.
His first came after the Super Eagles’ final group A game against Guinea-Bissau, which the team won 1-0 thanks to an own goal created by Simon’s quick run.
The Super Eagles will face the winner of Cape Verde’s game against South Africa in the semi-finals on Wednesday at the Stade la Paix Bouake.
