The Senate has ordered the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to refund N382,203,055.74 back to the treasury during plenary on Tuesday.

Senate President Ahmad Lawan stated this in his remarks after the consideration of the report of the Ad-Hoc Committee on Pipeline Explosions during plenary.

NNPC had claimed that it spent the money to battle pipeline explosion in Komkom but the Senate directed the state oil agency to provide evidence.
