Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday congratulated the Chairman of Eleganza Group, Chief Rasaq Akanni Okoya, as he marks his 85th birthday on January 12, 2025.
Sanwo-Olu, in a statement on X, lauded Okoya’s economic impact, especially in Lagos State, where many of his businesses are located.
“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Lagos State, I wish Chief Rasaq Akanni Okoya a happy 85th birthday.
“His significant contributions to the economy and the livelihoods of many Nigerians, particularly in Lagos, have inspired countless individuals to pursue their dreams,” he said.
He also praised the industrialist’s philanthropy, which has provided scholarships for young Nigerians and financial support for small businesses.
“Chief Okoya’s generosity is a testament to his commitment to uplifting others,” Sanwo-Olu stated.
The governor also prayed for his continued health and strength for Okoya.
