Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, has expressed that the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State is proving costly for both Governor Siminalayi Fubara and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.
In a post on his X account on Saturday, Sani commented on the crisis, which coincides with the local government elections in the State.
He noted that the situation is expensive because it requires continuous spending to maintain the loyalty of supporters and protect political strongholds.
“Rivers political crisis is expensive for the Governor,expensive for the Minister and expensive for the people of the state.
“Everyday money has to be spent to buy loyalists,to keep loyalists and to defend political territories.A state richly blessed with enormous wealth and endless troubles.” he posted on X.
