Popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels broke down in tears in a new video, expressing frustration and despair over ongoing family struggles, and shared a heartfelt post declaring, “I give up.”
In the now viral video shared via her Instagram Story in the early hours of Friday, the actress said she was struggling emotionally and mentally.
“I tried. I feel like I’m going crazy, I’m losing my mind, and it’s not making any sense. I’m really crying in front of everybody,” Daniels said in the emotional clip.
The actress, who had celebrated her parents’ reconciliation on Thursday, revealed that her estranged parents reconciled exclusively for her happiness.
“Two concluded sworn enemies reuniting with no negative ulterior motive other than their daughter’s happiness,” she wrote.
Daniels added that her parents are currently in Abuja, working together to secure the release of her brother, Sammy, who has allegedly been in detention for days.
“Sammy’s detainment is taking way too long, but we will get him out even if I have to march there myself and create a storm! Since they want me!” she stated.
In another video posted by Daniels, Mercy Johnson, a fellow actress, is seen looking for Sammy.
Johnson could be heard saying, “He’s not here,” before stating that she would look elsewhere.
Daniels voiced her frustration in tears and hinted at returning to her spouse.
“But please, what am I even begging for? I don’t know. Do you guys think it’s easy? Every time I wake up, I say one thing—oh my brother, today I hear good news; he’s about to be free—then tomorrow I hear another thing. Like, what’s the problem? But I’ve tried. I have to go. I will go back,” she said.
The passionate outburst comes weeks after Daniels intimated that she had experienced domestic violence in her marriage.
On October 18, a viral video showed her in tears, surrounded by aides and family, stating, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my house, I am a queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence; it’s too much.”
Nwoko later rejected the charges, claiming that his wife’s outburst was the result of “drug and alcohol abuse” and that she required rehabilitation.
