PSG star Hernandez and wife Victoria Triay have been accused of trafficking a Colombian family for over a year, from September 2024 to November 2025.
According to Paris Match, the family included a mother, father, and three children who worked in various capacities for the PSG star.
Hernandez is accused of hiring the family without work licenses or contracts to do duties such as security, cleaning, cooking, and childcare.
The accusation also alleges that the family was not registered with France’s social security system, and all payments were paid in cash.
They were also expected to work long hours, ranging from 72 to 84 hours per week, with no days off.
There are also allegations that the family was given bogus Spanish identities and then signed non-disclosure agreements in February 2025.
He has issued a statement in response to the allegations, per Reuters. The PSG star and wife Triay said, “We opened our home and our lives to people who presented themselves as friends, who sought our kindness, and for whom we had genuine affection.
“They shared our lives with respect and dignity. We helped them, supported them, and believed them when they told us they were in the process of regularizing their situation. That trust was betrayed.”
The couple also said that they had been manipulated by emotional stories and acted with good faith and kindness, adding, “We acted as human beings—and learned, painfully, that compassion can be exploited.”
Hernandez began his career with Atletico Madrid, where he progressed through the club’s academy alongside his brother Theo.
He joined Bayern in 2019 for €80 million and played four years there, winning the Bundesliga, German Cup, and Champions League before moving to PSG in 2023.
Hernandez has added to his collection of Parc des Princes titles while also earning 40 caps for France. He was a member of the World Cup-winning squad in 2018 and finished second in 2022.
The plaintiffs’ lawyer, Lola Dubois, told Paris Match that the charges demonstrate “criminal intent” due to the length of time and number of people involved.
The Versailles prosecutor’s office will now look into the claims, with Hernandez and his wife, Triay, denying any wrongdoing.
