    Police hunt man who was accused of role in Aluu Four

    The Nigeria Police have arrested Akinwale Olaniyi, the brother of Olaniyi Babatunde John who was accuse of instigating the killing of four Uniport student demanding that he produces his brother.

    The police operatives arrested Akinwale who was returning from work in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on 17 March 2017 asking him about the whereabouts of his brother.

    According to Akinwale, he was surprised when the gun-wielding police officers came while he was fighting with the friends of one Lloyd who was killed in Aluu one among the boys kill in 2013 in Aluu, river state.

    He explained that some hoodlum earlier attacked their family members, injuring two people. He noted that trouble started when some friends of four University of Port Harcourt student killed in Aluu had wrongly identified his brother as having an involvement in the incident.

    He explained that his brother had to flee Port Harcourt when the pressure became to much.

    “To cool things down, my brother left Port Harcourt for Badagry Lagos State but after a period of staying in Lagos, he needed to leave the country because of fear of been attack or kill.

    On the day police harassed him, Akinwale noted that they searched his phone and laptop looking for the phone number of his brother.

    “I was put behind their truck and relieved of my smartphone and laptop. They checked for his number and other foreign contacts I had on my phone.

    “They even threatened to kill me if I did not produce the number but I explained that I have not spoken to him as I did not know his whereabouts.

    He said they eventually asked him to pay N100,000 for him to secure his release. “I am happy to be alive and I thank God for his wisdom. I told them that my parents are in the hospital and that they are very sick, so they took N20,000 and released me.

    Mr Olaniyi a member of Aluu Youth Community Union was accused of instigating the killing of four University of Port Harcourt students including Mr Toku Lloyd.

    He fled the community in 2013 after the police failed to assure of him safety but later returned to the community after three years in exile.
