Officers of the Ebute-ero Division of the Nigerian Police Force yesterday apprehended a vandal who was seen vandalizing bridge railings on Carter Bridge, Lagos.
In a statement by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, Police Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Command, the suspect, 30-year-old Mastru Mutairu (m), was apprehended after a concerned motorist tipped the police off to his activities.
The statement reads :
“At about 3:15 am yesterday, a motorist informed the police of a vandal on Carter Bridge. Officers from Ebute-ero Division swiftly moved in and caught Mastru Mutairu ‘m’ aged 30 actively vandalizing bridge railings. He took to his heels but was arrested.
