According to the statement, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, immediately dispatched Divisional Police Officer Sarau Belel, together with division operatives, to carry out a rapid and coordinated operation.
This resulted in the arrest of “Sunday Yakubu, 36, and Daniel Yakubu, 38, both residents of Konjoli Village, Maiha LGA.”
The command also said, “During the investigation, the suspects confessed to the allegations and are currently aiding the command with useful information.”
The Commissioner has also asked the Anti-Kidnapping Unit to take over the case to guarantee a thorough investigation and proper prosecution.
The Adamawa State Police Command reminded people that it is committed to protecting lives and property, and urged the public to continue submitting timely and genuine information to the police.
