The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that embattled music promoter, Balogun Olamilekan Eletu, popularly called Sam Larry, is in its custody and is currently assisting with the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Nigerian rapper, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, a.k.a. Mohbad.
This was announced on Thursday night by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on his verified X handle.
According to reports, Sam Larry was arrested at the Lagos airport upon his return to Nigeria over allegations suggesting his alleged involvement in Mohbad’s death.
Earlier, Sam Larry came under fire on social media after videos where he and some people harassed the late singer Mohbad surfaced.
As seen in one of the videos, Mohbad and Zlatan were on the set of a music video when someone who is alleged to be an ally of Naira Marley attacked the scene, with some boys targeting Mohbad, who scurried away in panic.
The video infuriated many Nigerians, who stormed Larry’s Instagram page to bash him for abusing and threatening the late singer.
