The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 38-year-old man and his friend for allegedly defiling and impregnating his 14-year-old stepdaughter.
CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, verified this in a statement released to the media on Saturday in Lagos.
He claimed that the suspects planned to sexually defile the girl in the Okokomaiko district of the state.
According to Hundeyin, the survivor’s mother reported the crime on Friday to the Okokomaiko Police Division.
“The survivor’s mother said that her daughter was defiled by her husband and his friend.
“The case was transferred from the Okokomaiko police division to the Gender Unit Ikeja.
“The survivor is now carrying a nine-month pregnancy,” the spokesperson said.
According to the PPRO, the case will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.
