Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 presidential election, has been berated for his alleged constant criticism of the federal government.

Obi is renowned for lending his voice to national issues concerning the country.

However, his criticism of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration has been described as “hypocrisy.”

In a statement on X on Friday, an X user identified as Tunde Olade noted that the former governor of Anambra State “abandoned projects and misplaced priorities in Anambra.”

Describing his “focus on beer over people’s welfare” as “a disgrace,” he also decried his spending of “$30 million on a beer brewery while his people suffered from erosion and flooding.”

Olade’s statement reads, “Peter Obi’s hypocrisy is staggering! He’s quick to point out uncompleted projects elsewhere, but conveniently forgets his legacy of abandoned projects and misplaced priorities in Anambra.

“$30 million on a beer brewery while his people suffered from erosion and flooding? That’s not leadership; that’s indulgence! Meanwhile, visionary leaders like Tinubu and Fashola transformed Lagos, reclaiming land from the ocean and building a new city.

“Obi’s focus on beer over people’s welfare is a disgrace. No wonder Anambra became the ‘erosion headquarters’ under his watch.”
