The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a special announcement confirming the relocation of its Board of Trustees (BoT) Meeting scheduled for today.
The statement, released by party management, posted on its official Facebook account is titled, “Special Announcement! Change of Venue for the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) Meeting.
It was gathered that the post was made around noon, hours after the meeting scheduled for the Wadata Plaza.
The notice goes on to confirm that: “The Meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) Meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), earlier scheduled to hold by 10Am at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja has been moved to YarAdua Center, Central Business District, Abuja.”
BoT members who were already on their way to the original venue are advised to reroute immediately, according to a statement signed by Management.
The abrupt change of site for the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting follows dramatic scenes at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja earlier today, where security personnel reportedly blocked off the grounds and barred party leaders from entering.
According to several media accounts, the police dispersed BoT members following what was characterised as “an order from above”.
