The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors-backed Tanimu Turaki (SAN)-led National Working Committee acknowledged that a new reconciliation process aimed at unifying disgruntled sections within the party began today.
Turaki, who said this while speaking to journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, stated that the reconciliation move by the PDP has had some outcomes from yesterday night and this morning.
He stated, “I can confirm that leaders of both sides, as of today, are working towards solutions. So reconciliation is ongoing, and all hope is not lost.
“From last night, those who are benefiting from this crisis and who do not want reconciliation to work have been shut out. So from that time till this morning, both sides are making some progress.”
Turaki warned supporters to act with restraint to avoid undermining the ongoing reconciliation efforts.
