Paul Okoye, the Nigerian singer popularly known as Rudeboy of the P-Square duo, has threatened legal action against a social media user who accused him of sexually assaulting a domestic helper.

The allegation stemmed from online debates concerning his marriage to a younger woman.

The controversy ignited on Tuesday when the 43-year-old singer posted a birthday tribute to his 25-year-old wife Ivy Ifeoma, drawing public commentary on their 18-year age gap.

Within these discussions, an X user with the handle @chubbiedivan made a serious accusation.

The user alleged that during Okoye’s previous marriage to Anita Isama, he “raped/coerced their domestic help,” suggesting the employee was too young and vulnerable to refuse.

The post further claimed that when the incident was discovered, Okoye sent his then-wife and her sister out of the house.

“Raped/coerced their domestic help. She is the help, how could she say no? Plus she was most likely way younger,” the user alleged.

“When he was found out he sent his wife and sister-in-law at the time out of the house. Very yanmayanma ni**a.”

The allegation gained traction, prompting numerous users to tag the singer in responses.

The account responsible for the tweet has since been deactivated.

Rudeboy responded directly on X with a vehement threat of legal action. He vowed to pursue the individual behind the claim relentlessly, regardless of their attempts to hide online.

“I hardly reply !!! But you see this one !!! @chubbiedivah if you like go private , leave X !! I will find you,” he wrote.

“I will use every necessary means , power, resources and money !!! You will face the law, I will use you to set an example!! (scapegoat).

“Your only way out is to leave the surface of this earth and relocate to space. To everyone that brought my attention to her tweet … thank you.”

The singer unveiled Ivy as his partner in December 2022.

Their relationship drew backlash on social media, with some critics faulting him for ending his eight-year marriage to Isama.

In May 2024, Okoye and Ivy had their traditional wedding in Abia state, and in November that year, they welcomed their daughter Imani Ugomma.
