The Etsu Nupe and chairman of Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Dr. Yahaya Abubakar, CFR, on Saturday described Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as a man who loves all Nigerians irrespective of religion, ethnicity or beliefs.
He noted that the Vice President who is in Bida, Niger State to honour the Bida Emirate invitation to grace the turbaning of eminent persons is genuinely concerned about all Nigerians is a true patriot and leader.
He conferred the Vice President with the title, Garkuwan Yamma Nupe (the Defender of Nupe Kingdom).
“Prof Osinbajo has shown that he is concerned about all Nigerians, irrespective of who they are and where they come from. VP Osinbajo loves all Nigerians,” the Etsu Nupe said.
Osinbajo was received in Bida by locals who came out in their numbers to welcome him.
In March 2021, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) conferred Osinbajo with the Defender of the Faith award.
The PFN said it was in acknowledgment of his stand and support for the Christian faith and exemplary service to humanity..
Accepting the award, the Vice President thanked the PFN for the recognition, noting that “there can be no more coveted preferment than that conferred by one’s brethren,” and adding in prayer that “you all will receive not just honour from men here on earth but in the end also from the Lord God Almighty, in Jesus name.”
