Former Vice President of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, has offered an emotional thanksgiving to God as he marked the seventh anniversary of the helicopter crash that nearly claimed his life.
Osinbajo, speaking in a reflective moment of worship, recalled what he described as a miraculous deliverance from the helicopter crash of 2 February 2019, in which he and others on board survived without a single injury.
Describing God as faithful “from my cradle days till this very hour”, the former Vice President expressed deep gratitude for divine protection and mercy, declaring that no life was lost and no wound sustained in the incident.
“Seven years ago, You carried every one of us out of that helicopter crash without a single scrape. Not one life lost. Not one wound left behind. Only mercy. Only grace,” he said.
Osinbajo urged worshippers to lift their hands in gratitude, acknowledging God as the guide of his journey and the source of salvation through difficult moments.
His wife, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo, also reflected on the anniversary, offering praise to God for what she described as a great deliverance.
Remembering the incident, she quoted Psalm 104:1b, which says, “O Lord my God, You are very great”, underscoring her gratitude for divine protection.
The helicopter crash in 2019 shocked the nation, but the survival of all on board was widely described as a miracle, a moment the Osinbajo family says continues to inspire thanksgiving and faith.
