Victor Osimhen is the fifth top goalscorer in the world for the year 2025.

The 27-year-old scored 46 goals in 52 games for both club and country throughout the 12 months to finish in the top echelon of football marksmen.

According to ESPN, Osimhen finished behind only Kylian Mbappe (66 goals), Harry Kane (60 goals), Erling Haaland (57 goals), and Kevin Hernandez of Puerto Rico SSC (48 goals) on the yearly chart.

The Super Eagles striker is on par with Lionel Messi but achieved the goal tally in fewer games.

Osimhen scored nine goals in nine international games for Nigeria in 2025, with his last strike coming against Tunisia in the second game at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
