Former Senator representing Edo South Senatorial district Senator Ehigie Uzamere has squeeze the APC National Chairman Comrade Adams Oshiomhole accusing him of trying to be a judge in his own case.

According to Senator Uzamere, Adams Oshiomhole have no moral ground to conduct APC primary election in Edo state because he is an interested party in the election. He can’t preside in his own affairs.

“As an Chieftain and leader of the APC in Edo State we are aware that Oshiomhole is already compromised therefore he can’t preside as a National Chairman in an election where he has openly endorse a particular candidate. It is not done and it can’t happen.”

Senator Uzamere maintained that Oshiomhole is not a National leader but a sectional leader. “He has unconciousely abandoned his duty as a National Chairman of a Party and assumed the role of a factional leader of a State Chapter.”

“By status, Oshiomhole is a National Chairman of APC but by conduct Oshiomhole is a sectional and divisive Chairman.”

“Politics is a game and not battle but Oshiomhole has a way of turning the friendly game into war. He did it in Rivers state by making Ameachi and Abe be on each others neck. He did it in Imo State by abusing Okorocha and set him against Uzodinma.”

“It was the same conduct that made APC fall out in Zamfara state and now the only APC state in the South-South will soon be taken by the opposition party all because Oshiomhole is bigger than life and no man can call him to order.”

“What Oshiomhole is doing to Obaseki will soon be extended to other states and the earlier the party intervenes the better.”

“Democracy is under attack in Edo because the major threat to democracy is crisis and conflict. The economic growth in the State has been stagnated because democracy and growth are inter-connected as transparency foster growth.”

“Furthermore, political stability is the basis for economic and actualisation of human right.”

Uzamere expressed shocked that Oshiomhole has thrown caution and morality to the wind: “He has trampled upon his esteem purpose as National Chairman and entangles himself in the battle of a state as if it is his inheritance.”

“One expects that the integrity of Oshiomhole should be more precious than politics but he has shown us that politics should be better safeguarded than hard-earned integrity.”

“Oshiomhole once told the People of Edo state how Obaseki turned around his administration as Chairman of the economic team. The people of Edo state can’t forget the unprintable words with which Oshiomhole used to condemn Ize-Iyamu asking Edo People to Stones Ize-Iyamu. Is it the same person you now think the entire Edo APC will cue under?.”

“Except Obaseki is given a second term ticket APC In Edo State may be consumed by this crisis.”
