Riccardo Orsolini scored a sensational stoppage-time winner to give Bologna a dramatic 1-0 victory over Serie A leaders Inter Milan at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, reigniting the Champions League chase and shaking up the title race.

On a historic Easter Sunday clash—their first in Serie A since 1978—Bologna knew they needed something special to keep their top-four hopes alive.

Facing a dominant Inter side, the home team showed resilience and snatched a late win to move provisionally into fourth place.

The visitors began on the front foot with Carlos Augusto heading just wide from an early corner. However, a lack of attacking sharpness plagued both sides throughout a drab first half.

Inter appealed for a penalty when Nicola Barella went down in the box, but the referee waved away the claims.

The second half offered little improvement for the visitors, even after Bologna manager Vincenzo Italiano was sent off near the hour mark.

Despite enjoying more possession, Inter failed to create clear-cut chances against a stubborn Bologna defense.

Just when a goalless draw seemed inevitable, Bologna struck. Orsolini controlled a lofted ball inside the box and executed a stunning scissor-kick that beat goalkeeper Yann Sommer, sending the home crowd into ecstasy.

The result keeps Bologna in close pursuit of Juventus and Atalanta in the Champions League race, while Inter—still tied with Napoli at the top—miss a vital chance to pull ahead in the title race with only five games remaining.
