Michael Olise scored twice and assisted three times as Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich rallied from two goals down to defeat Freiburg.

Yuito Suzuki scored from close range, and Johan Manzambi rose highest to head in Jan-Niklas Beste’s corner, giving the visitors a 2-0 lead after only 17 minutes.

Bayern, who hadn’t lost in the league since March, responded admirably and had restored parity before halftime.

Teenager Lennart Karl shot into the bottom corner from Olise’s ball in the 22nd minute, setting up the Frenchman for a ferocious finish in first-half injury time, though Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu may have done better.

Bayern gained control in the second half, as Dayot Upamecano headed home Olise’s corner to put them ahead for the first time.

England captain Harry Kane scored his 14th league goal of the season on the hour mark, and Olise made it three assists when he threaded a pass through for Nicolas Jackson to finish at the first attempt in the 78th minute.

Six minutes later, winger Olise scored his second goal of the game, driving at the Freiburg defense and curling into the far corner.

Bayern’s tenth victory in the first 11 games put them eight points ahead of second-placed Bayer Leverkusen, while Freiburg remained 10th.

Vincent Kompany’s side will face Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday (20:00 GMT), with both teams having a pristine record of four wins in the league phase of the competition.
