Many Nigerians have reacted in amusement to the obituary poster for Mr James Okuwe Uwoezi, titled ‘Fear Woman: The Adulterous Wife’.

The poster accused Uwoezi’s wife of infidelity and it claimed that her adulterous lifestyle led to his death on March 3, 2024.

Chronicle NG cannot independently verify the claim against Uwoezi’s wife who was unnamed in the obituary poster making the rounds.

The poster said, “With pains in our heart but total submission to the will of God, we the families of Okuwe of Okpara Community and Ikibo of Uzih Community both of Irri Kingdom, Isoko South LGA, Delta State, regret to announce the painful exit of our beloved son, husband, brother, cousin and uncle, Late Mr James Okuwe Uwoezi whose death occurred on the 3rd of March 2024 as a result of infidelity by his wife.

The obituary poster went on to say, “He is survived by an adulterous wife, children and numerous relatives”.

The 41-year-old has three sons and one daughter, they are Kelvin Irobo, Blaze Irobo, Reason Irobo and Impact Irobo.

Reacting to the poster on the microblogging site, Nairaland, one Ogiame claimed that the deceased’s wife had affairs with several people in her community. He however did not provide any proof.

Another user, Namaster wrote, “Someone should advise the family to do a DNA test on the four kids. Chances are at least two of them do not belong to the dead man.

Malroux claimed that “Husbands of cheating women don’t last. I have seen it happen.”

The wife also had a few advocates. Maureen Sylvia described the adulterous wife poster as disrespectful, disgraceful, unacceptable and inhumane to the wife. “If I were to be the wife (God forbid) I’ll sue the family for slander and character defamation.”
