The website of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is down, shutting out citizens from accessing content and travel advisory on the website.
The police did not state why its website was shut down as citizens prepare for the December festivities.
A check by Chronicle NG revealed that even though the website was quoted on the official Facebook page of the police, it is not functional.
While the official website of the police force is down, that of the ongoing recruitment, Police Recruitment, remains functional.
The police force recently concluded Computer Based Test (CBT) for the candidates that applied for the 2020 Recruitment Exercise as Constables into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
There are currently plans to increase the force to 650,000, adding 280,000 new recruits to the existing 370,000.
The Nigeria Police Force is a very large organisation consisting of 36 State commands grouped into 17 zones and 8 administrative organs.
