The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 576 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Saturday.
The 576 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 89,163.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 416 patients from isolation centers across the country with five new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 277 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 31,107.
Federal capital territory recorded 90 new cases, Oyo state reported 51, Nasarawa recorded 49, Sokoto state had 23 while Anambra reported 14 new cases.
Other states are Bauchi-11, Imo-11, Kano-11, Edo-10, Plateau-10, Ogun-9, Akwa Ibom-3, Osun-5 and Jigawa-3.
NCDC reports that there are 89,163 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 74,789 discharged and 1,302 deaths.
