    Nigeria announces 675 new coronavirus cases

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 675 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Monday.

    The 675 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is now put at 20919.

    The NCDC also announced the discharge of 230 patients from isolation centers across the country with seven new deaths reported.

    Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with 288 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 8864.

    • Nigeria COVID-19 passes 20,000 with 436 new cases

    Oyo state recorded 76 new cases, Rivers reported 56 new cases while Delta, Ebonyi and Gombe recorded 31, 30 and 28 new cases respectively.

    Other states are Ondo-20, Kaduna-20, Kwara-20, Ogun-17, FCT-16, Edo-13, Abia-10, Nasarawa-9, Imo-9, Bayelsa-8, Borno-8, Katsina-8, Sokoto-3, Bauchi-3 and Plateau-2.

    NCDC reports that there are 20,919 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 7109 discharged and 525 deaths.
