The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 189 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Saturday.
The 189 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 57,145.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 126 patients from isolation centers across the country with one new death reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 70 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 18897.
Plateau state reported 37 new cases, Federal Capital Territory recorded 24, Kaduna – 19 while Rivers announced 12 new cases.
Other states are Oyo-5, Ogun-4, Ebonyi-3, Katsina-3, Ondo-3, Osun-3, Imo-2, Yobe-2, Ekiti-1 and Nasarawa-1.
NCDC reports that there are 57,145 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 48,431 discharged and 1,095 deaths.
