The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 187 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Tuesday.
The 187 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 58,647.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 42 patients from isolation centers across the country with no new death reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 74 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 19384.
Plateau state reported 25 new cases, Rivers state recorded 25 while Gombe state announced 19 new cases.
Other states are Federal Capital Territory-19, Osun-10, Kaduna-5, Borno-3, Ogun-2, Katsina-2, Nasarawa-1, Bayelsa-1 and Edo-1.
NCDC reports that there are 58,647 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 49,937 discharged and 1,111 deaths.
