The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 176 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Saturday.
The 176 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed cases to 5621.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 152 patients from isolation centers across the country and five deaths were also reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with a whooping 95 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 2373.
“Thirty-one new cases were reported in Oyo and 11 in the Federal Capital Territory.
“8-Niger, 8-Borno, 6-Jigawa, 4-Kaduna, 3-Anambra, 2-Edo, 2-Rivers, 2-Nasarawa, 2-Bauchi, 1-Benue and 1-Zamfara.
According to the NCDC, there are 5621 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 1472 patients discharged and 176 deaths.
