    The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has released the list of 21 players in the Flying Eagles team representing the country at the 2025 U20 World Cup in Chile.

    The NFF, in a recent statement said the team will be accompanied by 11 officials to the South American continent for the 24th edition of the tournament.

    Led by coach Aliyu Zubairu, the team departed the shores of Nigeria on Sunday night for a 12-day camping before the competition begins.

    Nigeria will face Norway, Saudi Arabia, and Colombia in group F.

    The team, which includes ten foreign-based players, is headlined by Ebenezer Harcourt, the 15-year-old goalkeeper who became the youngest player to make his Super Eagles debut in August with a home-based team at CHAN 2024.

    The Sporting Lagos goalkeeper is joined by a host of NPFL players, including Daniel Bameyi of Bayelsa United, Remo Stars’ Akinyele Olamide, and Auwal Ibrahim of Kwara United. Three players from different academies also joined the travelling party.

    The Flying Eagles, seven-time African champions, have finished runners-up twice in the global tournament, the most recently in 2005 when Nigeria lost to a Lionel Messi-inspired Argentina in the final.

    The U20 World Cup will be played from September 27 to October 19.
